Hi

Just had first service done.Van is 12 months old

Found very high moisture 90% in bathroom.

Wondered what my rights are.Surely this is totally unacceptable

It's too late to reject it after 12 months.

Is it condensation or damp (water ingress)..... it's vital to find out as the first is easy to resolve, the second isn't.

I would expect the dealer to fix it!

90% sounds exceptionally high, even for a major problem. It would only get to that level if you were using it as a swimming pool I would have thought. However, cleartly 'not fit for purpose' under the SOGA.

Your contract is with the dealer and so if you want anything more than a repair under warranty then you claim off them.

If you want more advice I would try the clubs legal helpline as they should be experts on this.

Cannot be condensation as it is under the linoleum and in the wooden floor. Carpet bone dry.Walls also dry

Told dealer don't think it fit for purpose. Only used van twice. So 15 days in total

Have said it is unacceptable.Obviously they will not want to give money back. But have told them money or new van.Meet next week to discuss

As mentioned before 90% is very high and as it is in the bathroom wondered if it could be a leak from shower (if used) or basin waste. Has dealer informed you as to how they think the water has 'got there'.

Good luck with meet next week and interested in outcome.
