Towcar for my Coachman Pastiche

I have a Coachman Pastiche 560/4 with a MTPLM of 1560kgs and my Jeep Grand Cherokee pulls it without any trouble. However, the Jeep is getting on a bit and Im looking ahead to replacing with something a bit more economical for general driving. Is anyone
pulling a similar van with a Mitsubishi Outlander or Nissan X Trail?. If so, how do they perform?
