Site near Portsmouth

Husband, dog, caravan and I are travelling to Spain beginning of January 2015 from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries. Our ferry is about 8am so need somewhere to stay overnight as there doesn't appear to be anywhere
at the ferry port, any suggestions please?

Also if anyone has any advice about the ferry trip with a dog it would be welcome, we have booked a dog cabin. Thanks.
