Aged wheel spat!

Am new to all this so please bear with me!
We have an aged ABI Rallyman Ace that we got from an elderly couple last year - it was their pride and joy so it's been looked after but is around 20 years old!
We had a blow out on the A38, all of which we managed ok but the wheel spat got blown off, into the road and splattered into a 100 bits before we could get to it - now our outfit looks elderly enough without a bit whole where the wheel spat should be, but getting one for a van this old is a nightmare - there's apparently two different sizes which is making it even more complicated for a novice such as me to find.
Can anyone recommend how I move forward with this, we don't want to spend a lot of cash - we don't have a lot of cash! - but I would like it to look half way decent as when we turn up on site with all the flashy 'van's, motorhomes and cars we do feel very intimidated.
