We have a 2006 McLouis Glen and have been advised at the most recent habitation check that it has readings of concern towards the front, the garage suggested they would need to remove the Awning Strip and Main Sky Light.  Is this a job I can do myself??

If anyone can recommend a way of doing this myself or perhaps a garage local in worcestershire that carry out this type of work reasonably perhaps.

Thank you Laughing

Think I would buy myself a decent meter first and see what readings I got. It's been very damp of late. Also depends if you have been using it. I put a dehumidifyer in ours and got a few litres of water out. You need one that slightly warms the air for best
    results.

Roof lights should not be that hard to remove. They usually put them in on a bed of sealant and held in place with screws. Removing the skylight will let you see if any of the wood is damp and discoloured.

Get yourself a damp meter and do a double check.  Last year I was advised that the damp readings in my van were showing 40%.  The meter I bought showed 18%.  This year my meter showed 15%, the habitation check showed 17%.  A different company to last year
    needless to say.
