Could it be cheaper on a CC Site?
Last Wednesday I phoned up to book a pitch at a CC Seaside Campsite for Saturday and Sunday nights with a Motorhome, two adults and our dog.
I paid a deposit of £20 by Credit card over the phone and the balance to be paid on arrival.
To my surprise on Friday morning I received by post a conformation of booking and credit card receipt for the two day holiday.
To send, presumably by first class post, must have cost around a pound for postage, envelope, typed sheet and time to collate and post.
I feel that it was totally unnecessary for them to bother sending a confirmation by post, an email would have been just as easily dispatched at minimal cost, and the pound wasted could have been either knocked off what the campsite charged or ensured they
had a wider profit margin.
It must cost an absolute fortune in a year to send hundreds, if not thousands, of first class letters.
Is it normal for receipts to be sent at a cost to Caravan/Motorhome/Tent owners or the Campsite owners?
Or am I being pedantic?
