What's so good about caravanning anyway?

In the light of the new tv show, which does not seem to be that popular with contributors, Lets remind ourselves why we all do this and build the argument for promoting our lifestyles. For me its two things. 1. Freedom 2. The great outdoors. How else could
you visit so many places and still enjoy so much home comfort. As a tenter (is that a term?) i used to love waking up, hearing the birds and sometimes animals and realising i'm laying in a field with them. Its hard to explain if you've never experienced it.
So come on then. Why do you do it?
