Rally virgin needs advice

Ok so heres the dilema. Recently joined the cc and though if were gonna try the club then maybe we should go the whole hog and try a rally too. Trouble is which one and where? We are a mid 40s ish couple and dont want to do loads of sightseeing, just a bit
of social and maybe some nice walks that we can take a dog on preferably with a pub at the end. We have set aside the next bank holiday to try it if we can find the right one but finding it hard to decide. They say a full schedule of events but as a newbie
What does that mean? Suggestions please?
