Truma water heater problem
Hi
Returned home yesterday from our first trip out in the van this year. The caravan had just been serviced and was therefore confident that everything should be ok after it's winter storage.
However the water heater would only heat water if running on gas. The water supply was correctly filled and primed and was not air locked. I checked the fuse and it was fine, and the rcd and mcb was fine and on, and all the electrical connections seem tight.
I tried it a few times allowing a good period between each try just in case there was a thermal overload that reset after a certain time lapse.
My caravan is a Bailey Ranger 2002 and is fitted with a Truma heat store, can anyone tell me if there is a thermal overload reset that needs manually pushed back in, and if there is where it is. If not I intend to test the heating element, can anyone tell
me what the insulation resistance reading should be for a good element and what a u/s one reads?
many thanks
