There was a thread on here sometime ago about social media, Facebook and the likes, I said on that I couldn't understand why people needed to advertise they were out enjoying a meal or something similar by taking photos and telling people where they were and not at home by the so called checking in. Well my fears have just been founded I found a link on F/B stating that insurers are now checking social media to see if you have made comments indicating your house is empty by you posting comments or photos about being on holiday  and checking in, to avoid paying out on any claim you might have. So be careful and don't get caught out, it could invalidate your insurance.
