Blue badge parking in Cornwall
do you have a blue badge and don't pay for road tax, if so you and you're visiting Cornwall not sure about other counties and their rules, you might want to look at the new rule on parking particularly in car parks. When we had to display tax discs it stated the amount of tax paid or not in the case of disabled drivers, I was in St Ives last week and noticed a sign which said if you don't pay road tax and don't have a tax disc they don't know what your entitlement is and you could be liable for a fixed penalty parking ticket, so to solve that little problem you now have to register your details with the Cornish council so that when they check your reg number it will show up. Although after all that I don't really know why they bother because most of the private car parks are chargeable, but you do get 1hr extra free of charge either that or if visiting some of the scenic bays etc it's National Trust so unless you're a member again it's get your hand in your pocket time. I just find it hard to believe that they want tourists but also seem to want to penalise the less fortunate, by not advertising this in any brochure it was just something which caught my eye by chance that I saw it. I must say that this is for council run car park where parking is free.
