Awning 250cm or 300cm

Hi all, we have always had a 250 cm Isabella, have now changed Van for a bigger one |(1050cm) and need new awning, apart from the extra space it gives, does anyone have any first hand experience on whether a 300cm awning is more difficult to put up and down,
and are they allowed on all sites, or any other advice, thanks Holly.
