Leaving caravan unoccupied for a night.

My husband and I were planning a 9 night break on a club site but just before I went to book, my boss in work announced a non optional staff training morning right in the middle of the time we were planning to go.  I had my annual leave request for that
day rejected but can still have all the other days around it.  Due to a range of other factors, this is really the only time we will be able to get away so I was thinking of going when we had planned but coming home in the car for one night in the middle of
the holiday so that I can attend the staff training morning and then returning to the caravan as soon as the event ends the next day.  However, this would mean leaving the van unoccupied on site for a night and I am not sure if this is breaking some club rule.
Towing the van home and back again is not really an option as it is too much hassle getting it all packed up and in and out of storage. Does anyone know if this is allowed and if so, what do you pay for the unoccupied night - just the pitch fee or do you
have to pay for people as well?
