I have been thinking about this for a long time although I feel it may not be popular with the club per se. From time to time in CT the subject of British Aires (or lack of them) rears it head in the columns and set me thinking an e-petition might, given sufficient support prompt some action from the government. All it takes are 100,000 signatures for an enquiry to be raised in parliament. I started looking on the web only to find that someone has already started an e-petition on this very subject. It already has 199 signatures so far and has until 22nd May 2014 to reach that 100,000 mark which could be realised if we spread the word. We would not want it for free, but a reasonable overnight charge for stopping with water, waste, and EHU facilities would be great and on this same subject many club sites could provide this service for an overnight stop only. The C&CC already has a 6 hour stopover for a nominal charge which gives you sufficient time for visiting the service point and even a shower to freshen up. Aires are a feature in most European countries, Britain again falls sadly short on this subject.
If you feel this is worth a try follow this link and add your signature. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/50323
