I have solved the mystery of clothes falling off the hangers. I tried every kind of hanger from expensive to cheap. The best ones are the cheap velvet like coated ones. Sqash the metal hook to fit the shape of the bar. It stops the hanger swinging side to side and the velvet like coating stops the clothes falling off ..... tried and tested all the way to holland and back . Not one item fell off the hanger. Cheap and cheerfull.
