I had avery competitive quote from the Clubs Insuraers last year which I accepted.This year I tried to get a new quote five weeks before  the year end but was told that was not possible 30 days before the year end. This week I got a re-newal quote 20% higher than the previous year.After shopping around I got an online quote from the clubs insurers 30% less than my re-newal quote!

I accepted and paid this figure and received a confirmation e-mail.

Later the same day I received a phone call that  cancelled the insurance because I could only receive a discount of £25 off my renewal quote!In other word a new customer would get a better deal than an existing customer, this happens a lot in other types of insurance , but I would think that the Club would  frown on such practices, I think the insurance company is guilty of unethical if not iilegal behaviour and certainly of breach of contract.
Are members aware of this?
