Sterckeman Starlet:-are they an OK lightweight?

Looking for a lightweight van without having to change my Jetta 1.9 TDi and the Sterckeman Starlet seems to fit the bill but it has the door on the 'wrong' side for UK!  Is this a problem and has anyone any practical experience with the Sterckeman as we've
never towed before.
