Crockery Rack
Hi, we are swapping our motorhome and the new one doesn't have any crockery racks. Our Autotrail has some really good racks screwed into the cupboards. We could take them out and fit in the new van but I would prefer to leave for the next owner and then
fit some new ones in our new van, however I am struggling to find any. Does anyone know where I could look?

We have the ones DD linked to, one plate rack and 2 mug racks, they work very well. Our van came with some moulded plastic-type holders, but they were no use for our crockery, the wire ones are better.
I prefer to have the crockery "restrained"!

I think you may have more space and freedom without racks. You could have any number and shape of crockery, rather than that assumed by the racks. Neither will they rattle, if you pack them right.
Personally, I agree. When we have bought new vans, the first thing I usually have to do is take out the plate racks - but if it works for you Dawn, then go with it.....

Thanks everyone for your help, I will take a look at the links but I think you have persuaded me to wait till we get the van and see how it works
Very excited so lots to think about
Hope we get some good weather so we can have lots of happy trips
Have fun everyone

We ditched plate racks in cupboards some time ago as they were space restrictive. We find the plates and dishes stack better with an old, thick teatowel [cut and sewen to shape] between them. The cups we stack upside down on rubber matting with a small rubber
sleave around them. No rattles. There is no shortage of racks in accessory shops and on line retailers. The difficulty with buying online is working out whether the rack will fit. I wonder if an AutoTrail dealer could source on for you or the Owners Club.

We use one of these by Fiamma. No screws, the bracket has strong tape attached and you slide down the arm to hold plates and dishes in place. Once on site, release the pressure from the arm and that's it.

For cups and glasses I use a shoe box, divided into six by three pieces of strong cardboard, one lengthways and two shorter ones across. Cardboard has slits cut so you can slot them together and make the separate compartments.
Just fits our cups and glasses.
