Waterproof ground sheets

I’ve just returned from my first lengthy continental tour and towards the end when it got a bit colder and wetter, found that most of the the grassy pitches were very muddy. My breathable groundsheet just let the mud through, I noticed that most of the French
and Dutch had large waterproof groundsheets which they washed off with a brush before they left.

Any ideas where I can buy one? All I seem to find on line are tarpaulin type sheets but the ones I saw over there looked more substantial and purpose made. Thanks
