What fantastic wardens

We have just returned from a nine day stay at Houghton Mill.

We had a fantastic time but whilst we were there emergency maintenance had to be carried out on the electricity supply.

Unfortunately the supply was disconnected for much longer than first thought.

I must applaud the wardens Nicola and Gary for keeping everyone up to speed on what was happening with consideration and humour.

Not an easy job in the circumstances as there are always one or two "grumblies".

Well done the wardens. The situation was not of their making and out of their hands.

We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
