We have so looked forward to our Christmas holiday week at Castleton where we have been many times, [not just Christmas] when we always have a fantastic time  but extra special at the festive season.Castleton village is magical then. And we love how most
people decorate their outfits. We booked months ago to make sure of our pitch  but  unfortunately we have had to cancel as I have  damaged my ankle tendons and will be having surgery  next week. This means I will be in a external boot for 3 months and will be
on crutches non weightbearing. Sadly there is no way I can enter or exit our caravan and certainly no hill walking which is what we enjoy most. There fore reluctantly we tookthe decision to  cancell, however  I just looked on line and the site is   full again
so I hope who ever was lucky enough to chance upon the sudden vacant dates has an absolutely fantastic time and  I wish a Happy Christmas to all the club  staff and holiday makers in Castleton.. By the way I damaged my ankle on a cruise ship so the moral is
Stick to caravanning Its safer!
