Safety issue with motor mover

Only my second trip out in my new 'van and the pitch wasn't quite level. I used the mover to run one wheel up a plastic ramp a couple of inches. Nipped round to the door to check the level and it had not changed! Back to the wheel to find that it was on
the ground. Tried again, and watched as the caravan slowly rolled back down the ramp as soon as the mover stopped. When I got home, I phoned the manufacturers and they stated that the mover is not designed to hold a caravan on a slope and you should always
apply the brake! I never had this problem with previous movers. Has anyone else noticed this? The ramp is the normal 20" long and about 3" maximum height so we are only talking of a 10% incline at most.
