Kampa Fizz Stainless Steel Electric Kettle Leaking

My 3 year old Kampa kettle started leaking around the bottom of the water guage (plastic window on the side) - depositing water all over the base and the worktop.  Took it back to Chicester caravans, and lo and behold they had another one sitting behind
the counter with the same problem,waiting for the Rep to call.  Chicester Caravans were brilliant, and supplied me with a new kettle (with NO gauge).  Have any of you had the same problem - I think Kampa need to look at this.
