A Low Rear

I have recently purchased a Nissan X Trail having owned a Volvo s60 for the last 4 years. I tow a Swift Challenger 540 and was keen to see how the x Trail would perform.

Initial signs were good and the "i din't know it's on" comment came quickly enough.

However, when it came to reversing onto my hardstanding, which slopes upwards, i found that the rear of the caravan "bottomed" making it impossible to go any further, a problem never experienced with the lower volvo.

i could unhitch, lower the jockey wheel and push the van, however my wife and i stand no chance of pushing the challenger up a slght incline. Looks like an expensive mover is my only option.

Thoughts please.
