We have recently purchased a caravan with lift up heat deflectors on the hob. We want to remove these and stick a length of either brushed stainless steel or coloured glass along side the hob which measures 23ins x 5ins. Anyone else had any experience doing
this or know where we might buy some. We would fix it in place with silicone so it needs to be a solid colour.

I fitted perspex splashbacks behind my kitchen sink and bathroom washbasin. There are a number of on line providers who will supply any colour and size. I used clear double sided tape to secure the perspex to the wall board.

My local glass supplier has cut smoked glass for us when asked. They'll radius the corners and polish the edges too, if you want - but it's expensive. Perspex isn't suitable for use near heat because it's flammable. You might consider Formica though, or
    stainless steel as you mentioned.

Thanks for the advice. We went to our local glass suppliers and got an offcut in smoked black for £20 and they polished the edges. They have lots of offcuts in great colours. We are more than pleased with our purchase.
