Reduction in Caravan Insurance

I rang the Caravan Club to renew my insurance.  I didn't do it on line as I wanted to reduce the sum insured.  In the end I left it as 'new for old' but was surprised that the figure quoted was over 10% less than the renewal notice.  Apparently some of the
security features are now getting bigger discounts and my renewal notice had gone out before it could be amended.

    I got a slightly reduced new for old premium because I was told that the price of the new equivalent specification caravan had gone down. Found it hard to believe but hopefully will never be in a position to test out the statement.

    I have always preferred the club insurance but left this year as the C&CC wanted over £100 less for the same cover. I will look again next year.
