Further to Rocky's thread last week regarding food banks and the rise of 'relative' poverty in this country, this article makes for very interesting reading http://www.theguardian.com/business/2013/oct/21/food-waste-tesco-reveals-most-bagged-salad-and-half-its-bread-is-thrown-out.

Tesco reckon that half its bread is thrown out, and over 60% of bagged salad.
