Pull out awning

I have been reading the many reviews on pull out awnings ,and based on these reviews have bought a fiamma bag awning .On the first time of fitting one of the poles have split.Have I just been unlucky or are there more sturdy options available to fit to my
caravan ? There are so many options it makes your head spin !!! Any advice ?
