Mercedes c class estate - good tow car?

My mate has offered me his C class estate auto 2011 , 2.2 desiel (170 bhp) at a very good price. I am towing a 2013 Bailey Pegasus Verona.  Does anyone have any experience of this car.

I am currently towing with a 2l Insignia estate desiel which is ok but van becomes a bit unstable into a head wind. The Insignia roof is very low at the back so wonder whether the aero dynamics are not right.
