Homa, home away from home.  Would do if we ever changed to a caravan or changed our motorhome - but then we'd probably name any future one in its own right.

The van.  I'm not one for giving names to inanimate objects, except in anger and frustration.

Our first van was a Rambler which breaks down into RR (my initials) and Mabel.  So my wife decided it was to be named Mabel.  Second van she has named Florence - so we can can go with the Flo.

The strange thing is that when you refer to your van by a name with friends and family they all join in (as in " are you off out in Flo this weekend?") Wink

Our first van we called Brian after the snail from Magic Roubabout as it seemed appropriate! Our second van which we still have we tried a number of names but none seemed right so he's now known as Brian 2.

Our children named the caravan 'Kevin.' It was just after we watched the Minnions Movie. Even now, we talk about Kevin as if it is a person. "Shall we go away with Kevin this weekend?" they ask!

Its called the caravan except when things go wrong. Not very original but we never mislead anyone.

Yes it's odd. More cars have 'pet' names than 'vans. ......and why do boats/yachts ALWAYS have names?

Yachts need to have names for ID purposes. If you contact the coastguard or harbourmaster on VHF, they need to know who you are.

Plus, if it's Part 1 (Small Ships Register) or Part 3 Registered under the Merchant Shipping Act, it HAS to have a name.
