Well into another season of touring and making the most of the excellent amenities provided by The Club and maintained by the wardens …but, yet again, I come across the perennial problem of members who don’t feel it is necessary for them to mop the shower
after they have finished.

Whether they feel it is beneath them, not their responsibility or they’re just plain lazy, I’m not sure. I have in the past, having finished my shower and mopped the cubicle, offered the freshly wrung out mop to someone emerging from their cubicle with a
friendly “Here you go. All ready for you”, only for them to look at me as if I’m an alien from some far off planet. They just don’t seem to have any concept of the
‘Leave it as you’d like to find it’ principle. No doubt we’ve all found the shower cubicle that is not only wet but also looks as if the previous incumbent has spent 5 minutes dancing around inside with muddy shoes on and having earlier
walked across the newly cut grass..!Sad

There are the other types who seem to think that the object of the mop is to evenly transfer the contents of the provided bucket over the floor..! I’ll forgive them for at least they’ve tried...

Of course, I can only vouch for members of the male persuasion but, from what my wife tells me, the ladies showers are little better.

Perhaps The Club should provide Practical Mopping Lessons alongside the Caravan Manoeuvring Courses..!

Do you mop?
