Tow car advice please.

Good afternoon, I'm after some tow-car advice please. My caravan is a Bailey GT65 ancona (1496 kgs) and I currently tow with a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder (2.5 litre, Diesel), although the Pathfinder is a fantastic tow car, it's also our family run-around vehicle,
so at £490 road tax and about 22 mpg it's quite expensive. I've been looking at the VW Tiguan and the Hyundai ix35, does anybody tow with either of these vehicles, if so, i would really welcome your throughts please ??
