Damp in an Autocruise Stardream

I am the owner of a '58 Stardream - a pre Swift unit.  It has been maintained mechanically by Peugeot and the habitation checks have been carried out every year.  However, this year had shown the floor is damp and soft all round the outside edge. Our dealer
seems to think Bessacars had this problem and their floors were replaced up to 8 years after build and that mine needs a new floor (He puts the blame on the skirt seals). Has anyone else had this problem with an Autocruise and has Swift offered to fix it.
