Travelled solo on M5, Exeter to Tewkesbury, yesterday. Shocked at how many caravans were speeding, dozens well over the 60mph, and a couple doing at least 75mph! Another common sight was vans very nose down, usually being towed by none 4x4s. Top scare prize
goes to the van so badly loaded that it's rear end was practically dragging along the Tarmac. Saw at least two snakes as well. Surprisingly, to us at least, these vans were not being driven by younger drivers, but by much older people, and sadly some had Caravan
Club stickers in the window. Have others witnessed such poor towing recently? On the plus side, we can highly recommend Gloucester Services,
which has a dedicated area for caravans, and a superb safe dog walk!
