How about sharing good places to take a travel break when on the move? Not talking overnight stops but lunch breaks and a leg stretch.

Here's a starter: going N or S on A1, consider calling at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens near Doncaster. Junction 37, head west following signs, about 1 mile.

Is English Heritage property so members free, has large car park (might be busy at w/ends).

Beautiful gardens and house if time not an issue, cafe on site.

Any other ideas?
