Dogs left Alone in Caravans! (Closed)
I love dogs! Own two myself and take them caravanning (and in cottages) all over. Keep them under control, walk them off site and always clean up after them, and also keep them quiet on site! So.............................?
Has anyone else noticed an increased amount of caravanners leaving dogs alone inside caravans while the owners go out? The distressed yapping and howling, even if muffled, does our heads in and must be torture for none dog lovers.
We seem to have come across this more and more in the past couple of years,- stayed at Exeter Racecourse last Sept for first time and two vans had dogs left in them. We know of at least two dog owning caravanners who have switched to cl usage because of
complaints on Club sites and think that it won't matter on cl's. Politely put them right on this point!
I am not suggesting dogs should never be left, providing the van is cool enough, it is the leaving of dogs that get distressed and howl, and the owners know that they make such noise, that baffles and upsets me.
