When we visit a new area, one of our greatest delight's is to come across a new walk. We use OS maps a lot, and take advantage of any information that is available from the club site or CL, but often there are very special places known only to local residents
or frequent visitors.

With this in mind, I thought it might be nice for CT members to pass on any walks that they love and could recommend.

It would be very helpful if comments such as suitability for children, dogs, weather conditions, and any unusual or special interest features could be included.

To start the thread rolling, I can recommend a lovely walk in South Cornwall, near to Fowey and St Austell. It takes in the Luxulyan Valley, is great for children and dogs and has lots of local history and industrial heritage. There are a number of car parking
places, plenty of streams and leats to play in, and is wonderful for birds and small mammals. On route around the plentiful well maintained pathways, you can choose to take in an old water wheel pit and cross an aquaduct. This is a good walk even in the wet,
but lovely on a Summer's day. A delightful way to spend an afternoon.
