Cheap Diesel.

A few years ago cheap diesel/petrol from supermarkets was found to be creating major problems in vehicle engines,Has this now been sorted & do members find that fuel from supermarkets is still cheaper than fuel from garages,Has anyone had problems with this
recently?.
