Weight plate

i am wanting some information regarding weight plates on caravan my caravan does have one but none of the numbers eather miro or mtplm can be read they have worn away i have been trying to scorce a new one
but my caravan is a fleetwood colchester and due to them being out of business now i am really struggling to find one what can i do to rectify this problem can i just remove the weight plate (am i allowed or not) will it still be legal like it is if i get
pulled over how will VOSA/police know what my van weighs without being able to read the plate i dont want to get in trouble.
