We looked at one, as the layout was similar to what we have, but a bigger shower, which is what we wanted. We have a Bailey now so thought it would fit the bill. It's a nice van but I didn't like the fact that the end of the bed was opposite the cooker.
Just too close for me. As for build quality our current Bailey has been ok, and the Modena looked ok too.

You need to look at the PracticalCaravan annual survey to get an idea of quality. basicaly they are near the middle and average it seems. Adria and Sprite are consistantly top and Eldiss bottom but the top two turn ouit some lemons and Eldiss some excellent
ones, it is all a matter of luck.

Sprite caravans appear to have a lot of quality complaints on swift talk, so i would ignore the PC survey myself.

I don't know much about Adria but having seen about a dozen over the last two years find the quality of fit and finish no different to any other caravan. And i don't believe they are a woodless construction?

We were originally looking at the Modena (from a licence point of view more than the towing capacity) as it had everything "ticked" (fixed bed, end washroom, weight etc)

Sat in a few at dealers / shows.

Observations we're seating is very comfortable (really like the higher back) however have heard lots of teething problems with cushion slip on bases across all the Pegasus IV Range with these new cushions.

Many models available were the "demonstrators" that didn't have the higher sideboard with cutlery drawer of the production models

Build quality as "ok" (as someone new to "modern" caravans I am shocked by the "rough edges" in all mainsteam manufacturers)

front benches were quite short (to fit everything in) but this was alleviated by the lack of a chest and front locker - but still only seating for 4 comfortably (contrasting with the 10 year old 2-berth we eventually bought after much deliberation on new vs old - that comfortably sat 6 at weekend due to the full-size front benches.)

The PC survey has consistantly put Sprite and Adria as the top two brands. I rather think Swift Talk is likely to show far more complaints than the actual percentage of problem vans as it is those with a problem who complain where those who are happy just
     say nothing.

thanks for the replies. We looked at one at local dealer. I am unconvinced at this stage. I am not sure I can live with the small front seats as I like to lounge and have been spoiled by the really ling seats of our lunar cosmos, also the washroom is smaller.
I like the idea of fixed bed but not sure that it works in anything but a huge twin axle job.
