Keswick dog walks

we are off to Keswick for a week and will be doing three nights in Keswick itself then seven nights at borrowdale cc site. Although I am very familiar with the lakes and particularly Keswick I am not familiar with suiatable places in and around for off lead
dog walking, I can think of thornthwaite visitor centre and the railway line walk . Obviously we would prefer a none sheap walk even though doggie has never shown any interest in sheaps. Up to a twenty minute drive or even better walking distance of cc site.
