A while ago I posted a thread asking about the Jaguar Sportbrake 163. In a nutshell I went to see the new XE and would have loved one of those, in an estate version. No plans as yet according to the dealer. However, I ended up striking a deal for a new Sportbrake
2015 and took delivery in May. Previously I was running a Jaguar XF saloon 190 and took the chance, after some detailed research and number crunching, of getting the new motor. I have had the chance to evaluate and I can honestly say that I am really pleased
with the car. I am pulling a Lunar Clubman SI 2013 and although there is sometimes a noticeable power difference it isn't as bad as some might say. Solo running it is a great car and slightly more economical, the estate version is so much more practical though
for current circumstances and a cocker spaniel. I am not a racer when it comes to towing and try to stick to 57 - 60 mph, on a trip to Northumberland from Chesterfield we averaged 29.5 to the gallon (plenty of delays and closer to 60mph), to London and back
33.5 to the gallon at a steady 57 mph. Comfort, style and economy...at some stage may consider the Bluefin remapping but not yet. For me this was a good choice and would be happy to answer your feedback.
