Hi, I am new member and this is my first post so hello to everyone.

I have seen a few threads on here about fitting tow bars to cars in particular BMW and the cost, I have just had 2 quotes from BMW Shrewsbury for fitting a tow bar to 520d M Sport estate
(13 plate) @ £2700 and to a 318d M sport Saloon (10 plate) @ £2400. Apparently both cars require the cooling fans to be upgraded as well as fitting the tow bar and electrics this seems extortionate amount money compare to a local fitter’s cost £485 & £470
respectively but without the fan upgrades. My main concern is the warranty on the 5 series being deemed null and void if something goes wrong. Second issue I have, the caravan dealer where I have just bought my new caravan from has advise me not to fit ATC
to the caravan saying that all new cars will have their own version of ATC (assuming ESP or DSC here) and that one will counteract the other.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
