Bathroom light

Hi, just looking for a bit of help with our bathroom light in our Bailey Pegasus 554 that appears to have developed a fault.  

We have a main dome light with a switch to work off 12v or mains and two spot lights near the mirror.  The dome light won't work at all unless I pull the cord by the shower then the spot lights and dome light come on.

Does anybody know why the dome light won't work independently of the spot lights?
