Scotland in April

We are planning a trip to Scotland over the Easter Break and are looking at going to Bunree and then moving on to Aviemore, stopping in Glenmore. Has anybody been in April before, if so what was the weather like, I know Scotland can be unpredictable. We
have a 5 year old daughter and would hate for it to be just rain!!!!!!!
