Hi All,

In the February edition of the clubs magazine there is an article on the Tow car of the year 2015, the Seat Leon  ST FR 2.0TDI. Obviously it impressed the judges.

I would like to raise a couple of points, first in the picture of the cars interior, one can clearly see that the handbrake is biased over to the left. This of course is because the car was designed for left hand drive, the designers feeling the need to
position the lever close to the driver. This courtesy does not extend to drivers when the car is converted to right hand drive.

I have not driven this car but I have driven cars with a similar postioned handbrakes and feel this makes the action of operating it awkward. I belive the manufacturer should treat RHD cutomers of their cars the same as LHD.

Secondly, refering back to the article, which states, the kerbweight is 1,350kg, making the all important 85% only 1,147kg. Most modern 2 berth vans weigh more than that. the choice of vans will be extremely limiting. In conclusion, I can not see how this
car can be Tow car of the year.
