how can I remove hardened adhesive residue

Hi folks,can you please advise me on the best & safest way to remove the hardened adhesive left behind on the plastic caravan windows when the Cris security No.surround label came off. I have tried a well known sticky stuff remover to no avail but need to
get it off before fitting the new label.
