2014 Elddis Avente Cracked Gas Locker Door.

Picked up our Elddis Caravan out of storage and on inspection found a hair line crack Gas Locker Door, along hinge line 100mm long. Sent of pic to Dealer who submitted I'd to Elddis as a warenty repair. However Elddis have rejected the claim as I am three
weeks out of warenty. If  I had only collect caravan a few weeks earlier  I would have been ok. I do think that the locker door is not fit for purpose.

Any comments.

    Did you have any luck replacing the door under warranty from the dealer. My locker door has just cracked at the hinge on closing. No force used, just a very stiff action due to the gas struts. Others have reported similar problems so Elddis must know about it.

    Elddis know about many problems with their vans and the flimsy components/materials they use, however they duck and dive like a heavyweight boxer.

    We can only hope that now theyre owned by Hymer they will be made to stand up and back their products better.
