Opinions re Plugs etc.

I have a three year old caravan which came with the 13 pin plug, as my car had the black and grey plugs I have  used an adaptor

Its been very temperamental as the over all length is to long and I have to tie it back with a bungee rubber , as you may have imagined it causes me all sorts of mail functions , pushing .... nudging wires etc ! 

So going to fit a 13 pin socket to my car.

However when I first fitted the adaptor to the caravan I had a "hells own job " to get them together ...... is it just me ???
