this is the exact time that fellow members on site would help if asked , I would helpHappy

maybe it's time that willing members could put a sign in the window ,offering help .......

Have booked 3 weeks in may staying at the Bridlington site, unfortunately all service pitches are booked for almost every weekend. We have asked our daughter to come and help set up and hopefully will be able to get a pitch near all amenities. If this doesn't
work then back to the drawing board.

Write your comments here...we have travelled with a disabled friend a couple of times, and I believe the warden would be able to reserve a pitch next to the amenities. Further, if you phone the site, you may find a service pitch is available, or ask that
you could phone regularly to check for cancelations.

...I'm sure this is the best idea, ring  the site beforehand and let the wardens know you need an "easy" pitch near to facilities even if it's just a convenient service point.

It is nice to know that there are people out there that care but i am one of those people who would rather struggle then ask for help. Maybe it's time for the club to look at how they can improve services for the disabled. I would be more than willing to
pay for someone to help get set up etc.

Wilbar, I send you sympathy and hope your summer goes well.

I am older than most people here but "setting up" for me is unhitch, wind down the steadies, put the step in place, and go inside.  Five minutes. When I have recovered I connect the electrics.

The awning went to the dump ten years ago, the aquaroll too, and the caravan became smaller. We simplified and carried on.

    Good luck to you.

It is a long way from Yorkshire, but the Brick Kiln site in Norfolk stores your caravan and then pitches it ready for you when you arrive. It is a lovely site and has a small restaurant attched.
